Not quite leafless, but almost... Cool! If that does turn out to be a spike post some pics for us. I love that name; Chiloschista... Something about it sounds cool. Oops, there I go talking to myself again!

I will post pics... this species has only a few leaves, and is loosing them when blooming
BTW Chiloschista is supposed to come from the greek : Cheilos (lip) and schistos (cleft).

Hi S. kallima,
Do you feed them and how often you water them?

This is mine

Snip10 : I spray it every morning with clear water (I have it at 60% humidity but not in a tank, so it dries up quickly), and once a week soak it 30 minutes in a 125 ppm fertilizer solution.
I only have it since december, so I keep an eye on it to see if I have to adjust the growing conditions.

As of today, the little nub is growing, slowly...

That orchid is so cool looking!! Looks like an octopus clinging to it's piece of bark. I hope that the nubbin turns out to be spike, it would be so cool to see.

My first thought was... a spider! I would be terrified to have it at my place... brrr! I hope it will bloom soon- it wouldn't look so terrifying!
