Default New camera toy, must show photos!

Greetings -I wish I'd been having one of these for a long time - bellows for close-up shots. Pretty neat gizmo fits between camera body and lens, with the lens assembly moving forwards and backwards on two rails.
Quick shots of a few miniatures using no tripod, just point and shoot - pretty good depth of field, better than a macro, with easier focusing.
Anyway, Pteroceras semiteretifolia looks suspiciously like Peristeria elata when it is HUGE, but the plant is about 1" tall (vandaceous) with a 1/2" flower.
Schoenorchis fragrans, we all know that one.
Octomeria alpina - a pleurothallid that I have tried and tried to photograph.
Dockrilla rigida - sweet!
Future photos will be better, and some shots of the entire plants.
Cheers - Nancy

Very nice, Nancy. It's really hard to get good depth of focus at that distance. Stopping down doesn't help because of refraction. Keep it up, I love to see this sort of shot.

Hi pacman -
Camera is a digital SLR, with a 28-80 lens; I'm eager to add on the wide-angle and also try the zoom.
For years I used a Kodak digital point/shoot, and finally decided to sink some $ into an SLR, which gives a much more satisfying and variable experience. Once you get the camera, many of the 'toys' are not too expensive, and they are fun to tinker around with.
Gotta love digital just for the guilt-free discarding of all the 'dogs.'
Of course, then you have a giant sack 'o' stuff to carry or leave behind - either way, you regret it!
Cheers - Nancy

Nice pics!! Look real good. What is the gizmo that you added to your camera that helped you?
