Lepanthes telipogoniflora
This is a memorial post - the plant was left with a plantsitter for several months and unfortunately died. Ironically it was my lowest-care orchid by far. All I did was leave it off to the side of a fluorescent light stand and watch it bloom; which it did, constantly. I spritzed water in there maybe once every couple months, and very weakly fertilized once in a year. I will definitely replace it soon!
It came from Ecuagenera mounted on a tiny square of epi-web. I put pieces of bark around it and a few pieces of my favorite tiny moss which covered the bark slowly. I sure miss the little thing.
Edit- adding a close-up showing the plant and that moss. The brownish fuzz is the same plant as the moss. First it spreads around like fuzzy olive-green algae, then pops up the little upright mosses after being established for a while. Very cool. I hope I can find some again in the old container and culture more of it. I found the moss originally on a Sinningia tuber a friend brought up from a field trip to either Brazil or Costa Rica... I'll have to ask where it came from again (note to self: check that friend's plants for it, too).

This has been on the top of my wish list for some time now. I was going to get one 2 years ago from ecuagenera at the SEPOS show and didn't becasue I was unable to grow intermediate/cool growers at the time. So this year at SEPOS show I headed right to ecuagenera to get one since I can now grow in these conditions and they din't have any

HI! here is mine I am sorry the photo is not very good ,but I made it accidentaly while rearranging some orchids. I grow mine mounted on a ceramic unglazed vase filled with RO water. There is a special topic in the "grow on mounts" forum -Nano Viv project.
I think the biggest mistake people make is try growing it in cool conditions. It is an intermediate grower and will not feel well in cool temperatures. It likes moderate light ,air humidity around 70% ,constant moisture on the roots-it must not dry out. As a whole it doesn`t like changes in the growing conditions.
I hope this will help

wow! really nice plant you have there. THanks for the reply.
Okay! in terms of exact temperatures: 75F during day and 55F during night is what my temperature range will be. THe lowland shelf will be 75 - 80F during day and 65F at night. Humidity is definitely a minimum of 60% but the microenvironment is more humid around the plants due to the lot of sphagnum moss growing everywhere. I also grow a dracula which likes moist conditions and its doing great...so I don't think there is an issue with constant moisture.
thanks,
V

My conditions are:
Daytime temperature and humidity: 23-26°C, 60-75%
Night temperature and humidity: 17-18°C, 90-100%
I have a computer fan running 24/7.
At summer temperatures sometimes rise up to 28 C. I think that the lowland shelf will be 75 - 80F during day and 65F at night will be the better choice

awsome! thanks soo much for the reply.
Unfortunately there is currently an issue. The plant was supposed to arrive today. Canada post shows it on their website that item was out on delivery at 1:47 which basically means it was loaded out on a truck. But there was no delivery of that package today. I am worried.. probably tomorrow I will most likely get it. But the plant was already in a trip from ecquador to calgary to alberta and now to ontario. I don't know how much more it could take. My fingers are crossed and I hope it arrives in good condition.
