Default Scaphosepalum fimbriatum

This one is from a "scrap pot" in my junk vivarium, I've been sticking random division leaves (without roots) into this small pot of sphagnum moss. I hate throwing out living things .

Anyway the last one of these I divided up was around July, so it took the rootless leaf a few months to start the spike. Really odd what you can get orchids to do . I should start a thread about the weird things I've done to orchids .

This pot is under 2 13W compact flourscents about 12" away, the pot is sitting in water with no air movement. I don't know why its flowering, I don't think I could give it worse conditions.

FAN DARN TASTIC!!! I think you should start a thread about your experiments! I think I'd enjoy learning from them - where did you get that really strange orchid? I must have one!!
