Default Scaphyglottis prolifera

Greetings - I seem to have developed a miniatures swap fest with a member of the Baton Rouge orchid society...some of us must be soooo easy to read!
This little plant resembles St.Aug, grass, the flowers seem to be borne singly, about 4mm across; there is a hint of honey-like fragrance.
Just got this plant last month; I have one other Scaphyglottis, labeled radiata, which blooms randomly, several times a year. Hopefully this will do the same, and my vision will hold out.
Regards - Nancy

Hi Magnus -
I looked at your gallery, and found we grow 2 plants in common (C. forbesii and S. cernua); I am guessing that the Scaphyglottis is hot-growing, simply because the one that I've had for 3 or so years has survived and thrived. Not sure, but I think it may be a Mexican or Central American species.
I always look longingly at those that would not stand a chance here - they seem so exotic!
Cheers - Nancy
