The plant itself is less than 2" tall but with a relative large flower which is 1" wide on it.

Pheli, that's a nice plant. How do you grow it? I see you have it in Sphag Do they grow well that way? I just received my Psygmorchis pusilla and have it mounted, warm, under "Cattleya"-light.... spray (automatic) 8 times per day... it's in buds and am looking forward for it to open soon... reminds me of the Cacao and Coffee plantations in Venezuela they used to make big clusters on the cacao and Coffe trees

Ramón, I purchased this plant about 2 months ago and during this period, it does well in sphag. In fact, it is now our rain season and hence we have a constant high humidity for this plant. One of my friends that has ever been to Dangriga, Belize remarked that the species was plentiful in quantity there and the wild plants could be seen even in fruit plantations or man-grown trees. He also said that the humidity is higher all year round in the habitat. That’s make me worry whether it will still grow well in our coming dry season because I do not have greenhouse and all my orchids are grown outdoors.

Some of my friends have successful experience with this one. They grow their plants with phalaenopsis in their greenhouses. They also grow their plant in sphag like the way for phalaenopsis. In their condition, the species can bloom several times a year.

Pheli, your friend is right. there where this species grows it makes it in high quantities (people "hates" them on coffee plantations and are even considered a weed!) Normally you have both hight temperatures and humidity during the whole year there too. Please note that even when the plants are exposed to heavy (and I mean very heavy, almost Monsoon type kind of rain) during about 6 months of the year, the dry out very quick between rains, and then they have about 6 months without rain (however, the relative humidity is still very high!). I have seen it growing completelly exposed to sun but also in more shaded places...
Maybe it would be worthy to keep it in Sphag but out of the pot (more like the Spahg mountains used for Neofinetia) that way it would e possible to control better the wetness of the medium. letting it dry a bit between waterings... and also helping to have a high air humidity around the plant during the dry season

my ... I am kind of liking this Neo Spahg vulcanos more and more everyday and am trying to use it for some complicated minis I have... It's my "orchid's project for this year" let's see what happens... I will call success only after more than one year and re-blooming
