Ionopsis utricularioides, Phal parishii, Psygmorchis pusilla, Restrepia dodsonii
Ionopsis utricularioides - Just got this from Hauserman's in November. WOW! I did not let it try to hold the spike up on its own since it grew supported on other plants. it only took maybe 5 weeks to grow. The flower spike is literally larger than the entire plant. To my naked eye, it looks almost completely white with a touch of purple in the middle. So interesting how the camera shows or doesn't show things...
Phalaenopsis parishii x self - Bought this one last June. You know how waiting for spikes makes me crazy. Well, I thought this might open in mid November in time for Thanksgiving. One disappointment was that there were two spikes, and one just suddenly turned brown and died maybe two weeks ago. The good news is that there is another spike forming underneath. I'll let you know in 6 months...
Psygmorchis pusilla - This came with the the Ionpsis. I have killed two of these before. I decided to just get a more expensive, established one and success! Thank you again to my BFF for winning the door prize at the orchid show!!
Restrepia dodsonii - This came from Andy's back in March of 2021. It was in bloom when it arrived, but due to some initial mistreatment, is just now flowering again. It's also getting too much light, but I figured if I left it alone long enough, it would adjust. This was a very nice surprise because I did not see the spike, just saw the flower one day.
Spanish moss - and saw this flower the same day. I didn't even know they got flowers like this - so cute!! About the span of a grain of rice.
