Comparettia speciosa x Rodriguezia bracteata
I got this little plant at the London Orchid Show. Its mounted on cork (2" x 5" piece), and is a young plant with only one mature growth, and a second growth forming. The mature growth was in bud when I bought it, and the flowers have now opened, and what a pretty little thing it is!! Being a hybrid, I had no idea what to expect it to look like. I'm very pleased with the colour combination, even though there is a slight flaw on the lip of one of the flowers...

What a lovely little plant! Great colour and it looks very healthy. I'm sure you're going to enjoy it. Good choice.

Thanks for all the very nice comments everyone!
I am really looking forward to seeing this one mature. Both parents can be quite floriferous so I have high hope of seening masses of flowers in the years to come!
Here are the parents:

Very nice. I love the mini's but they require more TLC than I find time for. I usually grow in a G/H but maybe I need a sunroom off the house for these beauties. !mmmmmm!

I've never seen this inter-genus hybrid. The color is fabulous.

It was new to me, too! Which is what intrigued me so much.
Don - get yourself some minis, only the ones that are mounted require more than normal care. I promise once you start with minis, there's no going back! (And you can have twice as many orchids in the same amount of space!!)

Shakkai - your right about having more orchids in less space. Guess I just might have to take your suggestion
