Looks great, I know my friends were using these in their warehouse to hold PC monitors so they should be really strong and last for quite some time!

Yes it is quite strong. Supposedly holds up to 600 lbs per shelf!

My dog got under the rungs of the other rack I had and it almost came tumbling down, so I really needed something sturdy. It's a little bit commercial looking but on the other hand It's stable and that's what I needed. Now I have to dress it up with many more orchids )

I have also that set-up on my bathroom window....now you can add more orchids to your collection....I suggest you have some plastic flat pans to contain water when you water them....it can also serve as a humidity tray

I have the same rack. And these can have wheels too so if you are set I for it you can move the rack without much issue. I'd roll mine outside from the basement in the spring to spray down everyone with a systemic as I'll inevitably get some bug infestation needing the big guns. Works great!

Those are the kind of shelves I've used for quite awhile. They're sturdy, will probably last forever.

I was a little disappointed. The one I bought last year was the same brand and style I bought way back in the early 2000s. But they've cut back on quality a bit ... the wire shelves are thinner metal and the plastic bits you use to anchor the shelves were significantly thinner and cheaper, some even broke when I was assembling the thing.

Lol bellini girl!

and yes MrHappyRotter, the plastic sleeves you mention are indeed flimsy, I couldn't believe when my son (who assembled it) told me they were to hold the entire shelf weight! Fortunately they did not break,I wouldn't be surprised though,if enough weight was placed on them!

Pilot I have this out on the porch but because of an awning,I only get indirect light.

It does have wheels and since I've heard that Dends and Catts like a bit of direct sun also, I was thinking of wheeling it out to the patio where the sun is full for an hour or so. I don't know whether my back will permit this though

Bud, I water them right out on the porch, I turn on the hose to a soft spray and water. Then I either leave some of the water accumulated under the rack to evaporate naturally, or if it's humid enough I sweep it all out to the patio. that's my "technique" so far. The humidity here is sky high and it's been raining every single day too.

I was dipping them individually but, too time consuming, plus my back condition limits me that way.

To feed, I just slowly pour a cupful or two of the mixture in each one and let it drain, then I give a quick spray in case any got on the leaves and such.

Don't know how effective this feeding technique is, but it's easier for me than the individual dipping.

Very nice! I have similar racks. One word of caution: they will rust.
