The root mass is wrapped in sheet moss and tied with fishing line. I don't grow them like that, but you could.

congratulations, that is skill.

i have seen only so-so info out there on kokedama care, but i just brought home a NOID Oncidium (but i think it's actually a Brassidium) potted in the kokedama style. i'm just curious about watering... i typically check my brassidium by testing with a wooden skewer and letting it get dry between waterings... would you do the same for one potted in this manner?
