I didn't anticipate this. within two days, I have doubled my orchid collection

http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...s/100_2787.jpg

I'm amazed at my purple phal - she's been blooming for months! I must be doing something right. they're starting to drop, though...finally.

new additions are the two cymbidiums and the mini phal. I didn't notice when I bought (didn't know what to look for at the time), but the burgundy cymb has a whooping FOUR flower spikes on it!

I gotta say though, I can't wait til I've had these for a year and they bloom because I've been doing something right as opposed to the greenhouse

anyway, I think I've made it a new rule not to buy any more orchids until we have a house...this little one bedroom apartment can't take much more - we have an herb garden to tend to as well...it's very green in here.

You could squeeze a few mini phals in there.

Those are some nice healthy looking plants. I'm pretty sure you could squeeze a few more orchids in there though.

no, no, that extra space is apparently about to be devoted to a keiki or two

I slapped some keiki paste on the mini and the purple one, the purple definitely has new growth just starting to come out. the jury's still out on the mini...and I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't do anything, since well, bud blast. we'll see. but very squee about the purple one!
