I´m new to the board and new to orchids in general.
I had an unknown (still unknown to me, if you can id the blooming plant I´d appreciate it) phalaenopsis that was almost dead when I moved into
an apartment 3-4 years ago. It have never bloomed or spiked until I moved into my new flat which have two huge windows in a northeast and northwest direction.
As soon as I popped my orchid in the window it started to shoot out a spike and is now blooming full on=)
So I wanted to get some more and now I have 8 of them and more coming...this can get addicting if it works out well.
Anyway, I love moss!
Been drooling over moss for a long time and bought some hygrolon and mossmix from dusk when I was in sweden over christmas.
About two weeks ago I made the unknown blooming phalaenopsis mount where the moss is starting to get tiny green spot here and there.
Yesterday I got some time to make some more mounts so here are some pictures.
I don't have an opinion on the growing method since I don't grow mosses nor use hygrolon. Love your window set up. I'm always envious of how tidy everyone else's set ups are.
