Dorothy, good eye. I didn't even see that Alocasia.
My Alocasia as of late has been ravaged by mites. As a result the plant is now only at half its beauty.

It looks like a great setup, but one question. Do you ever bump a pot off the pot is is sitting on? I wouldn't dare do that.

Looking good, Julie
I've also pulled mine in for the nites - lost a few to the critters once again. Next year it's going to be different, I'm building a cage
The tempts have been real nice for the last few days, so they still go out into whats left of the sunshine. By next week it'll be time to cozy up inside for the winter.
I do love having them outside, but kinda miss them too.
Your grow stand has reminded me to get those lights up - I'm thinkiing a nice weekend project!

I have learned to put take them off and put them aside first before I do anything with the rest.

Gloria, we've had such beautiful weather since I brought them in. Makes me mad that we had that cold snap but, it just made me get them in a little quicker. It takes a lot longer to water them but, I'm slowly getting a routine going so I can get done a little quicker.

See, that's why I don't set mine out during summer! I don't have to worry about temps when they stay inside!

I can understand that Ross, But see for me - I'm a gardener and have been for so many years it's hard not to see some of my orchids out there, besides I burn less lights this way.
I hate taking the loss of 'chids, but every year I get abit smarter too. Having a fast dog helps
Julie the weather is is still nice, but abit windy - too windy infact which kinda kills me, knowing all that light and fresh air it going to waste, hehe!
Oooh that weekend project ... got done last nite, I'm thrilled and the 'chids are happy too.

Gloria, I'm glad that you got your lights done. I'm surprised that you still have good weather. You must not be right above Iowa because the last time we got a blast from Canada we darn near froze to death down here. That's when we got so cold at night. But, on the other hand I really could use a couple of nights in the 20's just to get rid of the mosquitos
