I recently expanded my growing area so that it takes up more of the space under the basement stairs.
400w HPS, vent fan, humidifier, etc.



Humidity runs 50% or higher, temp runs 75F day 65F night.

you'll notice an almost complete lack of blooms in this photo due to the ravages of a mouse about a month ago.

No space goes to waste I see! How ingenious to grow orchids under the stairs

I not only bloom vandas, I double and triple spike them The light is HPS so it's plenty bright for vandas.

Its in the basement, so as soon as the light goes off it pretty much drops to 65. The light keeps it warm during the day.
