Default Do you have a crowded window?

THIS is what a crowded window looks like.

I think I have some room for plants yet. The Cessna is operating at high speed today in the corner.

Top, bottom and sides. Packed, and they love it!

I gave in and bought a shelving unit and lights. Wasn't allowed to crowd the windows like that so I let it be known there would then be a compromise!

it's kind of funny. our house has floor to ceiling glass walls on the entire east side (dining room and living room) and very large windows everywhere else.
However, I am forbidden to block them with plants! I have a couple of plants in the bedroom and some in the dining room but that's it. So I grow 90% of my plants under artificial light in the basement. In fact, I have zero orchids in windows. I pay the electric bill

well - right now, most of my windows have orchids on the sills, some only a few, some a number of them, but I wouldn't say any are 'crowded' - but, come winter ... (especially my one south facing window)

I love windows crowded with orchids! Yours looks great - and your plants look happy with the arrangement!

Thank you! I almost never get them back into the position they came out of so I like to think they enjoy the change lol. It looks as if I need shading but, trust me, they are OK. I have had a few arrive that were yellow so I have no idea why they survived let alone grow. I don't know how they do it. It's as if they had been growing in the dark!

LOL! I thought my windows were crowded. I started hanging my orchids like yours because I completely ran out of space on the windowsills. Your photo is really comforting, because it means I still have a ways to go before my windows are truly crowded.
