Only during very cold winters, when I need to heat a lot, I use my humidifier to keep humidity between 50-60, seems to be OK for the orchids.
When it gets hot indoors I have a fan running in rooms where I have the orchids. I love a ceiling fan for that purpose as the air movement is constant but not overwhelming. I think it's enough to avoid stagnant air and helps to move away the hot air that comes from the windows.

Thanks for taking a look and sharing your experience. I'm going to start with fans. I read about a window grower who raised his humidity by pointing his fans at his humidity trays. Maybe it's like a breeze over the ocean. If that isn't enough, I'll get a humidifier.
