Default new plant/light racks

can you see em? 1 rack from lowes 79.00 and I made 2 out of it..the lights are (6) lamp high bay t8's with 5000k lamps..89.00 each from Home Depot...a case of (30) 850(5000k) triton service grade long life T8 lamps from lights unlimited for 55.00.They had the highest CRI of the lights I could find without being called gro lights and having 15 bucks each attached to it bec it says Grolight on it. Dont be fooled. I have some high bay 8 lamp HO T5's but for me right now they create too much heat..they will be useful in the future when I get more racks and some more air to move around them.

the light fixtures fit perfectly over the corners of the shelving units.

its a compact room for my orchid sitting
the otaara and the potinara are turning purple under the lights so I probably need to move them down a level. paphs on the bottom.
Everything just loves the light. I have 5 different levels of light exposure bec one rack is a little higher than the other gives me that 5th element
and ALL the lights hooked into a timer that comes on at 6 am and off at 9 pm..if Im sitting there at 5.59 am and it comes on I cant see for 10 minutes like solar flare!!!

I lean back in the big comfy chair, sit and look at em a lot

Epic! You should probably swap the main rack and the TV around

Oooo, nice, I'm jealous! Your orchids have a wonderful set-up, amd I'd love to just sit in that comfy chair with a good book, surrounded by orchids. Very well done!

the room is so small that the fragrance of the miltoniopsis and dendrobium and the catts just fill the whole space with heavenly scent

thanks the room would then be complete if I had a better half

RJ -

This is so ideal! It seems like the perfect place to lounge and soak in the fruits of your labor.

Love it.
