In Taiwan, people usually grow orchids outdoors. In fact, most tropical orchids do well here, especially in the southern part of this island. I live in north Taiwan, but I do grow mine outsides. When it gets too cold in winter, i would move some of them that cannot stand low temperatures to my house. It's the growing phase of most orchids recently so there are plants of orchids without flowers in following photos.

Here are some of my aerides, fox tail orchids, and other vandas.

Slipper orchids, coelogynes and dendrobiums.

Cattleyas, large dendrobiums and other orchids that enjoy a lot of sunlight.

Protection against sunburn is needed for most orchids in summer.

Great photos, it's good to have some insight into how other people grow their plants.

About 200 species now. Including 40 dendrobium species, 40 monopodial orchids and other easy growing species and hybrids.
