Looks good.
Are you planning on hanging it upside down or keeping it on the plate?

I think it looks good too. The roots look like they've seen better days, the mounting will certainly help.

there are lots of nice green roots inside the spag. im planning on keeping it on the plate, however i will go to the local bonsai shop and purchase a plat that isnt as tacky and isnt made of foam lol i dont have anywhere to hang it, thats the only reason i wont hang it.

there are at least four visible new roots, and a new leaf from the crown, are there always leaves from the crown?

yes, phals grow from the crown, which is why it's important to make sure water is left sitting in the crown, as it can cause the crown to rot.

Your mount looks nice!

Yes, that was just a typo. NO water for the crown.

to me the roots seem quite 'old'. my usual phal roots are solid and green/white. this one seems wrinkly. is it wiry? perhaps best to left as it is first till new roots come out.

they arent wiry. there are 1 or 2 dead ones. on the top, i just didnt cut them off. but they have been that way for a while. when i water the roots, they perk up some. but there are new roots coming, so what shall i do after they come in?
