Yea, thats what I ment. I was thinking you glue that onto your slab, and then you have a nice thick humidity storing growing substrate for your epiphytes. What you have there works fine, thats what I have in my vivariums. I often wish they had more substrate to work their roots into.

That would be interesting to try, but I had trouble trying to find anything large enough to cover the area. Any ideas? I wonder how large tree fern slabs or other such materials can come in? I also thought epiweb too, but that might get pretty expensive.

I bought roll of cocoa fiber mat 24" wide from a local vendor and glued it into my orchidarium back with silicone adhesive. Let's see if it holds!?
