Default My Orchid Walls

People have been posting such neato projects lately that I thought I'd share mine with you all.
I started them about 6 months ago because I was tripping over many of the smaller seedlings or knocking plants over on the floor. I figured I needed to make some space, and then I got this idea...Why not make mobile walls?

So I got this silly idea I wanted them suspended from the ceiling, so that when I filled up one, I just make another. Sorta like hanging canvas from the ceiling.

Anyway I went to home depot and bought a couple prefabed shower panels. The type of thing that you use when your making the back wall waterproof. Some screws and a good deal of chain. Also some hooks for the ceiling. I built a wood frame around the back of the shower panel so it was sturdy like mounted canvas. Then screwed in the bolts and the chains on the top. It's then looked like this (excuse the working mess)

Then glued moss all over the front and then stapled a thin netting from top to bottom to make sure the moss stays.
Then it looked like this

Then I hung it up and started putting my plants on it! It's really freed up a lot of space in my green room! I can either mount directly into the moss on the board and the roots grow into it, or I can just hang my mounts from it too.
Heres a photo of one nearly full.

So far I've only made two but they have worked pretty well thus far! The best part is they are very mobile. If they need to go outside for some reason, we just unhook them from the ceiling and carry them outside. They also lay perfectly flat so they can be placed in the back of a truck. (As you can tell im ploting for my vacation) lol
