Thanks, all! Swamper...yeah, ever since the I made the transition to using the CFL for light, root output has been insane! All the 'chids are much happier now that they are getting more light.

Yvan, Nice cozy set-up - I like it! But most important you're 'chids look like they're thriving
CFL's are great lights, everyone should own a couple.

Looks beautiful, with happy and healthy plants. Could you tell us the particulars of the CFL fixture? e.g., what type and where you got it from? Looks like something I could definitely make use of in my bedroom growing area. Thanks!

Thanks, Gloria & Stephen! It is indeed cozy. Pretty soon I'm going to have to find a way to expand my growing area (cuz how am I going to stop buying 'chids??) in a way that my boyfriend doesn't realize until it's too late.

Stephen...the CFL is 100watt, full spectrum. Can be found here: 2 to 200 Watt Compact Fluorescent Bulbs : 1000Bulbs.com
