An "orchid hotel" sounds like just what I need but here in Northern Alberta, it would be more of an "orchid dungeon"! lol

Well, had to dismantle my arbour on Sunday as the night time temps are getting too cold (strange summer).A very depressing feeling! The inside looks like the jungles of South America (not that I've been there) and I have repotted approx. 40 plants, a few more to go and all will be in place for the winter. Wish I was somewhere like you Jkelee....where all could stay outside permanently.

Jkelee- Where in FL are you and do you leave them outside year round or do you bring them in for the winter. Well...as much of a winter as we get in FL.

Hi Jax, I live in Orlando. I do keep them all outside, as I have too many to move to the gh., or home. Can't baby just a few!
I cover/wrap them up tight when the temps get in the 40's and lower. If in the 30's, I'll put 3 heaters in there on low. One in each Hotel. If in the 50's- on up, I leave them alone. Maybe in the lower 50's, I lower the blinds up at night.
Hope this helps you out
Happy growing
