Hey J, I can understand your anger. Your Koi fish are beautiful! And to see the way they come to you in your video, I can tell how much you care for them.
I'm sure that little girl will remember what she did and when she is mature enough to realize how much she hurt you, I'm sure she will regret her actions when the light comes on.
Please forgive me for making light of your horrible experience. It was not meant in a mean way, really.

I believe it's page 5 about 8 posts down....Bird Song Farm (Al) has pink flamingos here in Maine. He's such a rebel!! They are illegal around these parts. Or is it extinct?
Now, pink elephants are a plenty round here.
You know I'm teasing you, right Al?

Oh, Oh, I'm in for it now. I'm sure he will track 'em
down!
Swamper: I'll see that you get a pair or two if you really like them!
KiKi, we used to have the pink elephants but got tired of the mess they made!
I know the flamingos are tacky but as I said, they have become a 'rite of spring' here. Never know where they will turn up for the summer. Yes, KiKi, I know you are teasing, you're heart is to big to ever hurt anyone and I can take some 'good natured' teasing.
Jackie, I love the pond and waterfall.
"How'd you Know that we did that 'this summer',"
Because when you first posted the pic of the shade hotel the back corner was empty...and I thought at the time, 'what a nice place for a water garden'
The night shot with the lights on is just beautiful. Makes me want to go oooooooooooooooo and awwwwwwwwwww!!
Are those Cymbidiums planted to the left side? The Koi are beautiful, I'm not positive but I think they are illegal to have here.........KiKi, do you know? This is Maine and probably the flamingos are illegal too, or taxable!!
Whew, that's a lot of typing for 3 a.m., you folks have a great day!!
Al

Yes, Koi are illegal in Maine. I believe I read that it is because they tend to get big and people can't handle them in their ponds/tanks anymore, and they might put them in our lakes and ponds, which jeopardizes Maine's trout and salmon industry.
Now as far as flamingos and pink elephants being illegal or taxable. I think the final details are still being worked out in legislature.

Kiki-do, I didn't take it mean in anyway! I promise. I'm used to people asking, as they can't believe someone would do such a thing. I appreciate your care Kiki-do

No Im good Al thanks. We have a lot of flamingos nearby, pink ones, white ones, you have to get to the everglades to see them but they're there in abundance. I have seen a lot of peacocks around my hood lately, they are great for their feathers when I tie flies for fishing....zilch pink elephants

Hi Al, Like I said, you got a Good Eye
I'm glad you likey the night lights for my babies
I change them up once in awhile, as the lights have 4 different colors to choose from. Blue is my hubbies Fav, so that's why that's on there now
As for Cymbidiums, no those are bog spider lily - Google Image Search plants in my Bog garden, which is only separted by that rock Wall you can see in the pics. I only have that from 6-12" deep for shallow plants, and have the wall to keep the Koi out from chowing down. And for the safety for my Koi from big birds that like to have 'lunch' in shallow water! So my shallow plants are safe, and my babies stay safe in Deep water!
But thanks for the sweet kudo's Al, I really appreciate it

Good, I thought those plants were a bit close to the water.
O.K., so now you need some nice tall Cyms to go across the back of the pond. I know there are varieties for warm climates, I think Sue has some.
Sue, you here?
