Hi Jkelee. I envy your new shade house. Everything is very neat. Keep up the good work. Your Equitant Oncidiums were classified as Oncidiums several years ago but they have recently been reclassified to their own family, Tolumnia. So technically, they are Tolumnia today. If you Google "Tolumnia", you will find some interesting articles on the subject.

Thanks from HI!! Wish I was there!! I wanna see Kiluea again!!! Love your home

Thanks for the great info on my chids, as I'm tired of the confusion of being Onci's or Tolumnia's! Glad someone knows

Hi Jkelee,
Just wanted to drop you a note to tell you that every time a new post is made to this thread I have to go back and look at your shade set up one more time.
I'm completely enamored with it. So neat looking and all the plants look so happy. It must be fairly easy to care for them too. You and your husband can be very proud of the idea the results.

I was lucky enough to go see Jackie's setup this weekend and it is spectacular! Her greenhouse is very nice too, but I guess she did not have enough light in there, so they built a new house! It is so beautifull organized. I love how all the mounts are together and the clay pots together. I plan on starting on my own shade house soon, but hers is just perfect! Except that she is starting to run out of space....

My guess as to what direction it is facing (I got kind of turned aroudn in the neighborhood, so she will have to clarify) would be southeast? I dont' know how close that is, but I think that is close. I am sure she will be along shortly to clarify though! I just wanted to brag on her awesome setup and that I got to see it in person!

I'm sorry...I meant to say northwest (I know the complete opposite). Sorry! I still don't know if that is correct either though!

I just had to edit it again as I posted the same thing I had already posted! Nevermind, just don't listen to me! I have no idea....

Jenn, it was great to meet you, and give you an idea of how to baby your babies

Thanks for the great kudo's too!! We appreciate what you all think!! thanks!

After you left, I asked my husband to get on building that 3rd one, since he noticed I'm getting pretty packed out there! He laughed, and told me to just quit mounting them! But then said he would get the 3rd one done soon

And you were 1/2 right on the direction Pretty good, for only being here once!
