Thanks for the encouragement, it just may be too expensive for most people.

They look great. How heavy they are and how do they hold water? Try to compare with some materials, media that all of us know.

I cant think of another material that is similar, it's completely different from any mounting material I have seen before.
The material is a lightweight cement product and the Aztek king weighs about 5lbs.
The material is very absorbent and the roots love it.

If you sold these, I would be VERY interested in buying them. Do you make smaller/bigger ones? Do you make any other Aztec style designs? Such as an Aztec calendar or other Aztec faces?
For what types of orchids do you recommend these?
How often do you water your orchids?
Can they be mounted on any surface?
Do they come pre-drilled for ease of mounting?
Again, brilliant idea and I would be very interested if you plan on selling them.

The best orchids to grow are creeping slow growing orchids , preferably smaller types.
I spray the orchids on the mounts almost every day, but thats not because they need it its because I like to, the mounts stay wet on the outside for 3-4 days and inside probably a week.
The mount can be hung just about anywhere, or just leaned against a wall, it comes with a galvanized hanger at the top rear, just hidden from view.

Would you say creeping miniature orchids would grow well? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
These are really unique. I absolutely love them!! LOL Especially since I looooooooooooooooooove everything Mexico/Latin american decor. Sigh.
They would also make FANTASTIC gifts.
DEFINITELY let me know if you plan on selling these.

Jerry,
I know you said they might be to expensive for most people but I know some who have spent as much as $75.00 for a perfect pot for their priced orchid just so it was displayed in a flattering way.
Try us ,you might sell quite a few, what have you got to lose.

That's pretty neat as far as designs go.

This is a very old and stale thread.
It is also very very cool. I wonder if it ever went anywhere. I’d love to play with his material!!
