Antique French Jardiniere & Tin Box (Orchid Containers) Male
Default Antique French Jardiniere & Tin Box (Orchid Containers)

I purchased this antique French Jardiniere for my coffee table centerpiece. Two large Phalaenopsis orchids are growing in it. I use two grow lights as it is away from natural light.

I use this tin box to house 3 mini Phals. I sprayed the bottom with a few coats of sealer to prevent rusting and applied glue to the interior seems (to prevent leaks). Later I put loose zip lock bags that I taped together on the bottom of the tin to help retain a little water below the pots. After watering, the excess water stays a little closer to the bottom of the pots due to the zip lock bags. It helps add a little moisture for the orchids.
