Maybe Neophyte is thinking about the duo of Phal Chiara Francis 'Picotee' and Phal Pirate Picotee. They look like 2 color forms of the same orchid. I have the Chiara Francis one, and it's in bud now.

I would suggest to wait for a while and look at lots of orchids before deciding which to buy. They are all beautiful. Some might fit into your space better. If you look for spotted Phals of a certain color, of which there are hundreds, you might find one you like more than the others.

ha, for sure, es! we do have a bit more room, but have scratched the orchid itch for the time being. now the focus is keeping what we have healthy and enjoying some blooms! ive started a terrarium, so i did buy a couple just for that, but windowsill orchids are now off the shopping list. at least until we see another one we want, hahahah.
also, with spring here we are focusing on getting the balcony improved, so any plant buying has been focused there. anyone know of any orchids that could thrive outside in the mild wet winters, and stupid hot summers here in germany?! we’d get one of those prolly
