Since I'm already in contact with Liese from Oak Hill, I will speak to her about it. I need to know how many people will be ordering theirs through Oak Hill if I can get a deal.
We used Oak Hill for our 2nd project and they gave us a 25% discount off the price of the project plant only, not on any TCs that get ordered.
Who would order from Oak Hill if they give us a deal like that again?

Sue--
I am planning to order my neo from oakhill regardless of the discount...if it flies, so much the better...if not, that's ok too...

We just got some more snow today.
Looks like I won't be able to order for a while...it's way too cold for shipping.
Now is everyone ordering blooming size? Or Near Blooming Size? What is the rules about that? They should all be about the same size, right? If we get them with spikes, that wouldn't be any challenge, right?
Questions, questions.....that's me in a nutshell!

My family is so tired of hearing that I could buy a really nice orchid for the price of ...whatever it is that they are wanting to spend money on at the time!

OMG!!! We were just having that conversation this afternoon when we were paying the boarding bill for the horses. I had to write a check out for $580. First thing outta my mouth was...."Do you know what kind of orchids I can buy for this!!!????" It would even pay for the vented gas heater Im going to need for the greenhouse! The response that I got back was.... "yeah, well, if we fed the orchids to the horses the boarding bill would go down!" BLASPHEMY!!!!

Hi Kiki! I believe it was decided that we could order whatever size we prefer (due to price) including blooming size that may be in spike. I think both Oakhill and NWO have them in spike and Oakhill has NBS too. I may be wrong on this, I'm going by my horrible memory!

It's already flying, my friend
We'll do it the way we always have:
ANYBODY WHO WILL BE ORDERING THE SEDIREA JAPONICA FROM OAK HILL SHOULD PUT THEIR OB USERNAME IN THE COMMENTS SECTION OF THE ORDER FORM. I HAVE SENT THEM OUR PARTICIPANT LIST AND ONLY THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE ON THE LIST WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE DISCOUNT. FOR THIS REASON, DON'T FORGET TO PUT YOUR USERNAME ON THE ORDER FORM

Kiki right now is Sedirea's bloom season so you guys will have a tough time finding any that aren't spiking unless they're seedlings. I thought about 40 pages back it was decided that if they come in spike fine but the contest would be who's first to get them to rebloom next spring. This is going to be a Loooonnnnggg project.

According to Liese at Oak Hill:
The Sedirea japonica are beautiful.. the larger size are mostly in bud and bloom now, very nice big plants... the smaller ones are about half the size, about 1-2 years to bloom, depending on how fast they grow in the various growing areas.
We can go two ways with this:
a. get the larger one, enjoy the current bloom season...and then when that's done, your challenge starts.
OR
b. get the smaller one and the challenge starts upon arrival.
What size are the ones at NWO? Anybody know?
