It is going to be a really tough choice - I'm not sure how I will ever be able to vote for just one! My top 5 will likely be ones that I will buy in any case, so I will be looking for scent, a flowering season not too far off. It also should be something nice and small that I can tuck in, and something unusual that I can really get into.

I'm one of the lucky ones, I guess. Many of the plants on the list are already in the collection so it makes the choosing part of this that much easier for me

Definitely going for something I don't already have...but I wouldn't mind getting a second of any of these beauties

This has been a lot of fun...and so satisfying to see how everybody got so involved and helped so much along the way

Oh... well I guess it wasn't that hard to whittle down to 5

Damn... I like the girly flowers My picks are based on what I don't have (which are only 2 of them ), and what appeals to my girly nature... I guess

I had a top 5 before we had 30 plants to choose from, which I guess was a mistake. But I didn't have to think about it too much for my revised final picks, which was nice They are ALL unusual for me

Good Luck everybody!

Okay so guess what I did instead of working for the last hour? Yes - that's right - I decided on my top 5...finally! Now if anyone dares add another plant I'm likely going to be incredibly annoyed and excited since I will probably second guess all 5 of my choices not to mention have another mini for the wishlist.

Thanks to everyone who's kept this project on track and kept all the energy up with it - I'm super excited. I can't wait till we make the final decision!

Just a question - what happens if we end up owning the plant that's decided on? Do we still participate? While I'd love to have multiple copies of all my lovelies, space is an issue for me

Hi Calvin

I have most of the plants on the list already...which means the chances are pretty high that I'll be getting a second (or third, in some cases) of a plant I already own.

Please don't feel like you are being forced into buying something here. Everybody works too hard for their money to throw it away on something you'd rather not have multiples of.

let's see how the voting goes

So when do we vote on the plant?!?!?! I can't take it anymore!!!!!! I don't know how we'll ever be able to choose... my friend Erica just took me to the local orchid show last weekend and wanted to get me a plant for my birthday. With so many plants from which to select only one, I was walking around with a glassy tinge in my eyes and a string of drool coming from my mouth! In fact, I looked exactly like this: Talk about EXTREME over-stimulus of the senses!!!! I ended up with a huge 'Winston Churchill' hybrid Paph... (pics are posted in the paph forum under "New Paph from Orchid Show"). This orchid project is an excuse to feed our addiction, and I ABSOLUTLY LOVE IT!!!!!!

PS- I wonder if I could fool the bunny and put out a hanging orchid basket with some Easter grass on saturday night... nobody ever said it had to be the traditional basket! (AND nobody ever said I necessarily wanted candy!)

Whatever my top five will be. . .I go for the unusual and/or the ones I don't have. . .I'll probably buy all five if I can find them in one place.

Amazing choices again this time around. Awesome work you've all done.
