Adding Den lawsii to our REVISED Plant List.

I'm also going to change the "look" of that list...it will be broken down into:

a. plants we liked but for one reason or another will not work for our project.

b. plants that would work for the project but are not available to everybody involved.

and finally, the top portion of the list will be all the plants that fit our criteria AND are available in the US, Europe and Canada.

I can't remember what we decided for the orintho. It might have been killed because there was none in EU, but I just found it at Orchidée Passion. Maybe Sue will know.

I really liked the Cischweinfia dasyandra too (was on my list, but Sue took it off because it's big). I've seen it described as a small plant, or a small medium size. I don't know which websites to trust. Same problem for the temperature, I've seen intermediate and warm!

Cish dasy isn't a large plant ..I have seen it described as a mini .. I like it ..
and Holcoglossum amesiana was removed because it's medium sized according to Jay's

LOL...

last night, we dumped Ornithocephalus inflexus because it was unavailable.

For the Cisch dasyandra: it was removed from the list because it's more of a warm grower, not a size issue. Plant gets to be 10-11", which is an "iffy" size for the project but not totally out of the question.
Orchidwiz says: temps of 80 daytime and 63 nights. Many of our cool location members may not be able to accomplish that.

I would LOVE a Comparettia but in our previous projects, they weren't available in the US!

I don't remember talking about Den lawesii - could've been one of the several times I lost my connection. I'm not a fan of this one but I'll go along for the ride

Hi Camille,
Oncidium ornithorryncum is easily found in EU. Here some of the nurseries I normaly order my plants from:
Oncidium ornithorhynchum - Orchideen Zentrum Wichmann
Oncidium ornitorhynchum - Großräschener Orchideen
Currlin Orchideen...

Nope...Holcoglossum amesiana fits the criteria but hasn't been found to be available.

The new REVISED plant list has been re-arranged and is now easier to make sense of:
