Available at Paramount, Claessen Orchideeėn, and I assume in the US...

I'm sure we'll have some input on the Pleuro before the end of the day...
I just KNOW we've spoken about it...just can't remember what the outcome was

I grow it and it is a nice plant - not been able to get it to flower yet.
Is it available in Canada?

Orchids in our Tropics & Paramount do both seem to have it.

I found this that I thought was interesting... Paramount have this to say about Masdevallia coccinea var Harryana
Quote:
Miniature Columbian and Peruvian species. Deep hot pink flowers that can attain up to 3 inches in size. Prefers intermediate conditions.
|
Unfortunately, Andy's gives the same temp range as for the other coccinea, just omits the note: "likes cool temps".
This is a superb Masdie!! If there was any chance????? (Note this is only for the var harryana...)

Never heard of them, but Comparettia falcata is listed as available (but limited) at: Marlow Orchids - Peru
Or what about :
Comparettia speciosa (also available at Paramount - though limited)
maybe easier to find in the US? I couldn't find it in an online list, but J&L had photos... so presumably they have it.
Also, was looking at Podangis dactyloceras, as its one I want to get. IOSPE PHOTOS shows Intermediate to warm, but then says warm to hot, but Andy's says: Intermediate to Warm; 58°F min. to 88°F max.
