Just a thought. . .cause I am thinking that we might well get some really cool photos out of that process. Don't know that Marty wants to do a calandar again this year?

Camille, I think that was a reference to M&M. Ramón found it at several places.

Gonna do it all in one post:
Sami - My best wishes are going out to you and your wife.
Ramon - As soon as we get confirmation for Canada, it'll get added. I hope that happens...I love it!
Becca & Shannen - I've been trying to avoid choosing plain white blooms too because the last major project happened to be white, I actually love them!...some of them are SO pretty
Shannen - I have about 40 chids that call for a winter rest...we do get enough cool nights through Dec, Jan & Feb to make it work.
For the project, I can deal with anything that covers the temp spectrum...cool to warm/hot works for me
Camille - my reference was to M&M...I didn't even realize it till I looked a second time

OK... So if I'm posting something someone's already found out..... I'm sorry.
I've called Paramount Orchids, and I can't get anything special ordered unless I want over 100 plants, which I don't. I can order things from J&L (?) in Connecticut, since they have all the paperwork, but they only ship bare root, so nothing they have for shipping will be blooming in the next few years. So, Unless you see it on Cloud's, Paramount or Orchids in Our Tropics websites, I don't think we can get it.
There are other vendors in Canada, but these guys have the biggest selections, and you'll get the best idea of what's available in the country.
Sorry Guys, my country is difficult

Don't be sorry, it's not your fault you guys can't easily buy stuff in the USA! I think we've been seaching for plants at only those big three vendors, but if you know of any other good websites we can check out that would be a plus!
Maybe you know this one?? Yvonne's Orchid Fancy/Schreibers Orchids. I found two of our possible plants there ( Lycaste aromatica and Promenea xanthina) but have no clue as to what type of reputation they have...

I have seen their site, but don't really know much about them. I forgot about them, because they don't sell Vandas I'm such a nerd.
Anyhow! I have met the guys from Orchids in Our Tropics and Clouds, and they are really nice, and have gorgeous plants. Paramount, I've only spoken to on the phone, I don't really know anything about their plants, except that people have said they have really nice ones. We could try them, I guess..... I think maybe I will have to order from them one of these days, since they have some plants that I want
Yvonne's Orchid Fancy is the site for people who want to look.
But the big 3, I think, are still OioT, Paramount, and Cloud's having the most variety of species. Most of the other vendors on the Orchid mall do hybrids, or... flasks... oddly, and then there are the private citizens who have email addresses and no website so you have to email every one of them to find out what they have.
