Wow, I had no clue it was so endangered! As for the size, I researched it a bit before proposing it, and I've only seen it listed as a smallish plant. I say that it does get large in the sense that it is a creeping sort of plant, but nothing a division couldn't fix!
If its endangered status is an issue, I'll look for a similar Sarcochilus. I find their flowers absolutely stunning!

I totally agree with you, Sue on not including an orchid harvested illegally .. but I wouldn't think that a reputable vendor would not take orchids from the wild .. could you reconsider Cattleyopsis cubensis ...(I can and will check with the vendors that carry it whether it is cultivated if that what it takes ..)

I looked it up, and I so far have not found an EU vendor for it, so it may be out of the running anyways. Rarer orchids are very rare in Europe unfortunately. It's a nice one anyways!

I understand not getting any plant that is endangered, but the tag usually means that the plant is endangered in the wild, but many of Florida's endangered orchid are readily available in cultivation. Seed collected.
Epidendrum nocturnum is one Rigid epidendrum is another, and also Polyrrhiza lindenii and many more. There is conservation in propagation as long as the plants are not removed from the wild. Please don't be mad at me.

Okay, which vendors have this "endangered" plant listed for sale? If it's a vendor we all know to be reputable and trust...and they say it's been cultivated and not taken...I'll change my stance on the subject ...but...

it's not available in Europe or Canada as far as I can see so in this particular case, it doesn't matter

Sue- You can add Epidendrum peperomia as available in Europe. I didn't know that it was also called Epi. porpax and Nanodes porpax, and I found it under those names!

Btw, if you are interested in how I find the EU vendors, I created a search engine with 30 vendors so far:

I forgot to say that not all the listed vendors work, so in reality about 15 or so bring up hits for the different orchids I've tried
