Sue/Dorothy:
Thanks for the revised "on" list--for myself and the masses can you please give us clarification on the terms warm and intermediate? It was suggested on Sunday that intermediate would cover the range of 65F on the low end, and 80F on the upper end...if we are accepting this range as our "intermediate" for the project, then anything that is classifed as warm growing we should reconsider for the list--books life Flora's Guide state 60F is the low cusp for warm growing plants (and 50F for intermediate), Hausermann's recommends 64F as a low for warm growers (and 60F for intermediate) and so the confusion reigns...
That being said, perhaps it would be best to quantify our intermediate range, and omit plants that are incapable of growth outside of those temps, rather than looking at the words intermediate, warm, hot, cool, etc. Clearly the terms are very loosely used--we just need to do our homework and see what actual temperature range the plants are listed as growing within.
Just my two cents...
Adam

I like to keep it as simple as possible...I did a revision to the list last night, according to Jay Phals info on IOSPE.
Anything that says warm-cool or intermediate is okay, Anything that specifies hot-warm or cold-cool would be out. We also need to make sure we choose plants that are not Large. Medium is taking a chance but I think those can be discussed in our weekend chats

Sorry I haven't been of much input, I've kinda fallen behind in school, and need to catch up, or I won't graduate
I see Neo Falcata listed..... but I already have one It's not blooming size yet, but still. What happens if we already have the plant?

I'm getting a little lost here... Is there a chat tonight or not? Since it's Friday night, I can make it to the 8pm chat because tomorrow I can sleep in!

Only the US changes this Sunday (well midnight Saturday ) Rest of world (that has DST) stays as before unless your "one at the top" has deemed otherwise Oh! And that means those of us in US will see a different time than shown on Orchidboard just like 6 months ago. But it's only for a couple weeks.

It will be impossible to come up with a plant that none of the 38 members have...I counted at least 5 that I have...but I'll get a second if any of them win
We still have LOTS of discussions to go through

I too was not understanding the term intermediate. I assumed that warm was intermediate. So most of my choice's are probably not suited for this project. Having said that, any plant picked will be fun to try to grow. But I do have one question. Is it not easier to keep a plant warm (northern grower) then it is for someone to keep one cool (if they live where it is only cool 10 or 15 days a year). So in my opinion warm growers would be more appropriate. But what do I know. 38 people 6 country's how COOL is that.
