Hehe.....I am sooo excited! Just about a week a way! I was putting items to be saved in my shopping cart on Andy's Orchids.....and next thing I new all my wants were adding up to $$$....then I had to step back and think....how am I going to find time to water when it already takes me a few hours as it is now once a week, plus daily watering of all the mounted 'chids, and most in my cart were mounted! I must come up with another solution, or else I better behave and save my sanity!

Perhaps! I will have to look....they were all mini's and most intermediate to warm growers! In my spare time in the next week I'll work on creating a list for when we start throwing ideas around!

Right now, I have only one light set. . .it's mounted above the top shelf. There is room for two lights sets (four bulbs total) across each shelf.
I plan on adding three more light sets. . .for a total of four sets (eight bulbs). lol
I've got my frog humidifier on the top shelf and a couple of fans on order.
So far. . .it's holding at 70 degrees and about 76% humidity with the humidifer on low. I am so loving it.
I apologize for hijacking also. . .
I would really really like to have a Dend. senile. . .that would be a neat project plant.

Can I be in? I have my experimental LED light rig coming in soon (fingers crossed). How does this work, we pick a plant and each grow it?

I'll second that opinion. It really is hard to get it to bud out. Still haven't had success with mine and it gets nights down to 62F, sits in full sun as well as a CF light 4" away. It's dormant right now.

Absolutelly!! and the worst of it, is that because of the senility, it always forgets when to grow, or to flower, whether it needs to go dormant or no... will never remember if you watered or fed it or not, and will "ask" for more... terrible orchid! Of course, you can put some Ginko biloba in the water and that would helps a bit with the memory... but still a lot of work...
sorry, it was too easy to let it go without a joke
