Hmm, maybe I'll save the mount for something more appreciative. I was looking at the terete little leaves and thinking it wouldn't want too much wet. So for the time being, I'll leave it in the plastic pot (I can't usually grow in plastic, it retains too much moisture for my conditions). It looks like a LECA type blend under a top layer of moss for its current mix. And maybe put it next to my rain cache instead of on the chain for extra humidity.
Bloom opened on it- it's almost an alba, just a tiny flare of magenta on the lip.

You know your conditions better than us. Your humidity is higher. Mine drys out daily but I have it potted that way. Do whatever you think is right and then watch it closely.

There have been a few times when the sphagnum on my mount has gone crispy dry for a day or so, and that hasn't affected my plant. But most of the time it's between damp and moist. It stays sopping wet for a few hours after I dunk it in a bucket.

Second bloom fully open. I'm just madly in love with this orchid. It was one of my first that wasn't a grocery/box store phal. I got it on impulse based on the picture of the bloom alone back when I had no idea what the heck I was doing lol. I can't express how much I appreciate this forum and it's members. I couldn't have gotten where I am today without you all <3

How much light are you giving it? Last year I moved mine so that it got full sun until almost 2 and I really think the increased light was what did the trick for me...

Mine is mounted and sits in a south facing window at my kitchen sink. It's grown well, I've had it just about a year. I got it from Parkside, it was growing in bark in a net pot. Maybe changing it to the mount has set it back.
