250 dollars that is . I really want to get this project to go, as catts are my Strongsuit.

I know that people outside the US can't participate in this. But if I can find the same plant or something very similar on this side of the pond, I may do that. (Yes, any excuse is good to get more orchids! )

I'd be up for anything in the Cattleya alliance though.
Mine is doing great too. I agree about anything in the Cattleya alliance, love those catts!

I MIGHT be interested. I'm always up for a challenge but not entirely sure yet that Catts and I really get along. I have quite a few plants from Fred as it is - mostly mini Catts - and while I'm not sure just how old they all were when I bought them (only one has bloomed in the year I've had them) I did lose...kill...half of those I bought. That said I'm keeping them alive and several others. I think it could be really cool to compare notes and learn better care of Catts while working 'in a group' with others.

...I think I could use the mentorship...at least that's my excuse for wanting to join. Will have a look at some of the choices later today.

Well I might be interested. I have been going to order some new ones from SVO but just keep waiting and now several I wanted have been sold out. I might be able to make a deal where those that I want could go to you if we need more plants.

I have 12 plants from there I got 2 1/2 years ago I think. I have gotten 6 to bloom but 6 have eluded me as of yet. Three I have gotten to bloom twice.

Lotis I very well may know what your problem with them is, as I believe we have talked about it before.

That would work if you want to tack on some plants... shipping from my house would be adjusted accordingly. I have 75 dollars worth of chids in my cart right now in fact

I would really like to get a minimum of 10 people who want to do this challenge. I think it will be a lot of fun to see the variation in the plants and flowers! But if we dont get that many, I still want to do it... just wont be *as* informative of a project
