It is in a 4" clay orchid pot with a really coarse well-draining mix by fertilome.

I grow it with my Vandas hanging outside during the summer in dappled shade (2 hours of pretty bright sun from 7-9am) and it gets watered twice a day until the roots go bright green (as recommended by Motes' book about Vandas).

It is getting fed heavily same as the Vandas during the peak growing/blooming season (starts in ~March).

I know this is not a Vanda, but it grows like the terete-leafed Vandas without the full direct sun.

I am feeding liquid seaweed plus K-lite alternating with Epsom salts and a regular spraying schedule. I actually have a pretty detailed regimen, because my Vandaceous are outside this summer (new greenhouse is not built yet). Being outside in Memphis heat requires lots of water and attention to the plants. They get inspected daily. I can take a photo of the schedule and post it...it is too long to write it out.

I recommend getting Martin Motes' book on Vandas and adapting to your region. It is excellent!!

Thanks for the great cultural information. Do the leaves grow as fast as your Vandas? Are you able to see a lighter green growth zone at the base of the new leaves, like Motes talks about with Vandas?
