Well indeed this seems to be the case. I know mine won't The Turtle (my basset) pulled my new orchids I just got that I had opened and put back inside the box off the table and I did get mad at her. She does this to punish me when I leave her alone. Or should I say leave her home, as she has the 2 other dogs so she is not alone.

She will tare something up. I wish I could blame it on her being a puppy but she's at least 12. I don't think this will end soon

Dogs really need to know what is going on, and what you are doing. When I'm doing something and they're really interested, I show them whatever it is and let them sniff. If it's not food they lose interest right away.

Well lucky you, the Turtle is just a bad dog. She has no interest in it when I open them up, only after I leave. She has also pulled books off the table and torn a corner off of it. It is strictly to punish me.
