Did you get your from Ray, I can't remember and I don't want to go back through the thread? The pot looks the same. It was so newly potted that I did indeed re-pot mine as soon as I got it. I potted mine in seedling mix that I did put more spagh in. I need to look back at my pics to see if my new leaf has grown a bit.

Oh and I am certainly fine with you joining in :waving welcome.

Welcome Tim, glad to have you Sir!

Yes mine came from First Rays and I have left it as it came. I think it might be staying a bit too wet, it has rained way too much here for potted orchids this summer.

Yes I thought the pot looked way to big for the plant, I was afraid I would keep it to wet as well so I put it in one of my fruit cup pots and burned holes in it so it gets good air to the roots. I'm real glad I did this.

Mine seems to be growing. The roots are longer, the leaf it was growing on arrival is almost full size, and I think there is some swelling that wasn't there before on the stem, but maybe it's just wishful thinking. There's also a new root starting, so it must like its conditions at least a little. I could probably water it a little more since one aerial root is shriveling.

My conditions are between 65 - 80F, diffused light through a bathroom privacy window, and water once a week. It is in bark and whatever else Hausermann's uses.

I know it's not part of the project but my den. laevifolium had the buds it came with blast on the oldest growth, but the second oldest growth has put out buds and I can't wait.

We've been getting plenty of rain and very high humidity so I am rather glad that mine is mounted. I have it sheltered with the Angraecum didieri seedlings but the wind has seen to it getting plenty of water, anyway. I did worry about crown rot but seems fine, probably because of the 80'F + temperatures and the constant breeze/wind.

Mine came from Marble branch. I also kept mine in the bark it came in, but I do water it every day, sometimes I skip a day when the humidity is really high. Mine is inside under the T-5s so it dries out really quickly. The tiny new leaf has grown a little bit and it is showing some little soon to be root nubs, so I guess it's happy enough, though not growing very fast.

New roots! That's always a great sign!

No-Pro-mwa 06-24-2015 12:14 AM

Yes I wish mine would put out a new root.

Skycat 06-24-2015 12:35 AM

Mine needs some roots too, after it lost some from when I had it potted.

theloyalplum 06-24-2015 12:51 AM

I wish mine would do anything but lose roots. :(
