I will definitely order Aerangis citrata.
Must have an orchid that smells like lemon ...

I've read that aerangis citrata is a bit easier to care for than the luteo alba. I'm very tempted by both!

I care for them exactly the same and find that citrata is more finicky (more prone to bud blast if the humidity is not sufficient). I've got three luteo albas. Just love the blooms.

I'm no good with mounted plants unless they are in a terrarium. I can't keep mounted plants wet enough and I understood that the citrata can be grown potted where luteo alba is almost always better off mounted?

The poll closes tonight, so I've started checking the list.

2 people have voted though they never signed up to participate, I'll be removing their votes (they only voted for 2 each - so 1 vote less for Aerangis citrata, Amesiella monticola, Dendrobium moniliforme and Tolumnia)

7 people have not yet voted

5 people did not vote for 5 choices (If I counted correctly). If you see this and are in this list, please let me know today if you would like to add any choices!
Aussievanda: 4 votes missing
801229001: 4 votes missing
Tscimm: 1 vote missing
CambriaWhat: 2 votes missing
Disalover: 4 votes missing

**So far these are the plants in the lead (am counting 6 because of the issues with C. aclandiae):

Hadrolaelia group: 13 votes
Dendrobium cucumerinum: 11 votes
Oeniella polystachys: 11 votes
Podangis dactyloceras: 11 votes
Cattleya aclandiae: 11 votes
Leptotes bicolor: 10 votes

For the final poll I will include the list of growers (with their shipping fees if possible), so that everyone can make an informed vote. I'll try to get that up by wednesday evening at the latest.

I'm good, don't need to add any more for me

shadytrake 04-20-2015 11:36 AM

Woot! I only own one of the potentials! I'm excited to try something new!

Camille, I think you're counting me as one not signed up and only voted for two plants.
You have me listed as no. 21.
I voted for the two plants I have not grown.

I'm done voting too, I don't like any of the plants in the lead :(

Woops, sorry I missed you! I must have crossed you off on the sign up list then forgotten to cross off the vote list. Doesn't change the rankings though. So normally Astrid is the only voting non participant.
