The 'awards and trophies' for the C. walkeriana is Porter's Orchids. I found the walkeriana for a variety of prices. If you want a good clone or a special one, it can be expensive. You can get them really cheap, too, though. Hausermann's has all three of these.
To add to this list:

Dendrobium oligophyllum: EU 12
Whichmann: EU 15

---------- Post added at 05:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:51 PM ----------

Aerangis luteo-alba (you will likely have to get var rhodosticta as plain luteo-alba is rarely seen). Truly I neither W or C. It can go warm and go cool but no lower than 55F (12C). Widely available

Orchids Limited: $35
Diamond Orchids: $25
Marble Branch: $22
Botanica Ltd: $30, $65

harpspiel said that Schoenorchis frangrans is very slow growing. I vote to take it off the list if that is the case. I for one want to see some progress at least. Also I hope we don't do anything that has to be on a mount as I am not sure they would do to well for me.

I also wanted to add that Laelia alaorii is also in the US at Sunset valley Orchids because I have been going to order it but I am waiting to see what we pick first. Man I wish we could do that as First Rays is having a sale right now ...... oh I hate to miss it if we chose one of the plants he has.

I'm getting itchy can you tell... hehehe.

I think we need to increase the US price. You can hardly find any BS plant for $20. In my experience with these projects, plants at those prices are advertised as BS when in reality they are several years out.

I vote to increase the price to $30 max in the US.

I'm okay with taking the Schoenorchis fragrans off the list, but we must understand that the point of the project is to try different types. Most of the angraecoids are slower growing overall.

I do agree that we want to see progress and it is VERY slow growing.
