So far in the three months I've had mine, one has grown a new 1/2" root and the other has done nothing. I guess the one with the new root is happy

I posted the links to the species in the hadrolaelia group. They are in my opinion, easy to grow, like intermediate conditions and are relatively inexpensive (think 30-35$ for most species). Cattleya (laelia) jonheana is more expensive (around50$) though.

Oooh I really want to try Oeoniella polystachys. Not sure about it being common though. I rarely see it for sale online in the US. Aerangis luteo-alba has been done as a project here before, but hey, it won't hurt to do it again!
