Thought about naming them but Tind has a point, many hey you's would be in order...actually I call my chid's, "Hey Guy's". So we have a Jessica the voluptuous femme fatale married to Roger, the big rumor of sexy power of suggestion within the cuts of the film ... http://www.snopes2.com/disney/films/jessica.htm ...hummm. Not so original but "the energizer" works for me, it keeps going and going and going...just a thought. Actually does not matter to me name or no name their all my guys anyway, I'm totally commited to them ... I think it is a good idea to take pictures of our new arrivals and steps of growth or monthly. Something we can talk about. I'm easy going and promise I will never type with caps on.. lol
I know we are all counting the days. Had to send off an email to them last night, I did not want them to sit on my stoop if I was working so having them sent to a friends office. I would hate to see it sitting outside with a west sun, no shade.
Is there any special steps to take once the box is opened, like transition, water, rock it, maybe burp it. I'm new to mounting so it will be a worthy challenge.
Might slide on the chat room tonight, back to work today on my feet with a 3 month med leave (fractured foot) and my behinds tired...let me know if you's decide on a name, I'll be ok with whatever you's decide...be safe. cq

Actually, I just figured naming them would be cute for the pictures we're going to post, it really doesn't matter (but I'm still calling mine Jessica )
Cheryl, I hope you feel better. Don't overdo it...baby steps
and that was a very enlightening little link about Jessica Rabbit

Got the shipment today!!!
I got my orchids! Woo-hoo! OMG, they are gorgeously mounted!!! Thanks to Andy's Orchids!
I got the project orchid, Phalaenopsis lobii (parishii var.). Its stick mounted and it looks like its been on that stick for a thousand years there are soooo many green and healthy roots!!!!!!!!!!!! However I see lots of little dried up spikes, so I guess I missed the flowering event . On the other hand, I SEE 5 DEAD SPIKES!!! That means this little guy is floriferous!!
I also ordered Pleurothalis tribuloides, its in flower!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!
ANd it has red root tips, its just sooooo cool!!!!!!!
The final flower I ordered from Andy to complete the trio(I always like to order in trios), was Platystele stenostachya. Can I just say, you get your money's worth when your order from Andy's Orchids. Its PRACTICALLY A BUSH!!!!! its soo full!!!!!!!!! It also looks like its been mounted for ages on that stick. Plus, PLUS!!! Its got a ton of live green moss which is growing spore capsules!!!!!!!
These are Magnificent orchids and I would kill myself if they die on me!! (Actually I've had nothing but good turn outs with orchids from Andy's!).
Pic will be posted tonight! I can't wait!

Let me start by saying....NOT FAIR!!! BOO-HOO!!!
On a brighter note...very cool Tin!! I am so looking forward to tomorrow.
I was speaking to one of the very experienced growers in our club at the board meeting yesterday. She specializes in minis and knows her stuff. She's also known Andy and his brother Harry for a long time. She was telling me that the quality of Andy's stuff is always top-notch and then mentioned something astounding...
Andy's was being inspected (don't know when this was) and they checked all of his plants (I think she said he's got like 60,000 plants!!!) and the inspectors did not find one single bug, dead or alive, on any of the plants!
That, my friend, is an amazing feat!
Once we all receive our plants, I will be sending a thank you card from all of us to Andy and his brother Harry for all the help they offered, and gave, to us.
