WooooHoo! Let's get tipsy and buy orchids online!

I think the last time, Becca did this, DANGEROUS combination of adult drinks and Ebay bidding, she maxed out her credit cards on a couple of spectacular (I will freely admit) new neos!

Be careful the darkside calls to us . . .if we but dare to listen.

Sure, you can borrow my credit card. . .it makes an excellent coaster.

Woohoo Gwen! Mine grew a new p-bulb and the leaf hasn't opened yet still, but it is pretty decent sized and it looks like it has another leaf or a huge bud inside of it that is growing out of the main leaf that hasn't opened yet.....I can't wait to see what it is or for some more growth....yours definitely looks much happier then mine! I have mine potted in a epiweb basket with epiweb chunks.....what kind of growing conditions are you providing yours again?

OMG, I'm a total idiot. I got on Andys to order that little Laelia reginae and found two cymbidiums on my wish list for the little guys traveling companions. Well lets just say that in all my excitment I ordered the two cymbidiums and forgot about the laelia. I would have done better drunk!

Go get your camera and take a pic. . .I MUST see!!!!

I'd read that they dislike being disturbed and that they actually prefer the gravel best. So I just left it alone, the way Andy sold it to me. . .in the rocky gravel. But I did add a tiny bit of moss to the top to protect the roots on the surface.

I've been keeping it in tanks of one sort or another but only recently moved it beneath T5 lights in my plastic covered growing rack.

The humidity is around 60% most of the time and the temps go up to 82 at the absolute max and drop to maybe 68 at night. I've got super good air circulation too 24/7. I run two good sized fans that circulate the air from top to bottom over and over. I've also got supplemental sunlight coming through a big, south facing window. It's quite bright light but very diffused.

OOOH! And I've been using MSU and KLN. I mix up a quite dilute amount of fertilizer but about a capfull of the KLN. . .which I think is a lot . .per gallon of RO water.

Hope that helps!

I LOVE this little Laelia. It's one of my top faves.

Take a deep breath and go back and beg Andy to add the Laelia to your order. You will LOVE that little orchid! And I do mean LOVE it.
