Default Phal Luedde-Violacea

I haven't had a chance to post my flask's progress and finally I have few pictures to share. I de-flasked my seedlings on April 26th. Here is my flask before I opened it:

The flask looked healthy but it was rather hard to open as the plastic was very hard to cut. It appeared to be a bottle from a salad dressing. Once I opened it, I pulled out a mass of seedlings all mixed with each other:

I gently separated each seedling and washed in luke warm water. I recovered about 19 seedlings of various sizes. Some of them had a leaf span of 3 inches. I noticed that many leaves were "crinkled" as they were running out of room while growing inside the flask. Perhaps the flask should have been opened a little sooner. I also found few dead seedlings - about 5 of them.
I left the seedlings in a plastic mixing bowl soaking for about 10-15 minutes.

I let them dry out on a piece of paper towel while I prepared the mix.

I "zapped" a mixtue of small Orchiata bark mixed with moss in a microwave for about 10 minutes. Prior to deflasking, I soaked all pots in bleach solution overnight (pool strength 10% bleach diluted at 0.5 TBS per gallon of water).
Once the seedlings dried up I potted them up:

I am using a small plastic storage box as my humidity dome.

I had few holes cut in the "lid" for ventilation. I am using a humidity/temperature reader to keep an eye on the conditions. So far the seedlings are doing good. The leaves are starting to straighten out. The only thing I am noticing is the bottom leaves on some seedlings are slightly more yellow in color than the rest. I will keep an eye on those.

Bob and Josh,

Compots going out today. Good thing we waited. Nasty cold weather here on the weekend.

Hi Everyone,

Just got my last flask in on Thursday. The seedlings are huge. Will de flask tomorrow. The weather was too cold this past weekend. Rainy and in the low 40's! Ugh.

Raining again today but temps up to 57.

Its been like that here too. Insanely humid today though but still a little chilly. Glad you are feeling a little better!

Thanks.. I hope they make it as some bottom leaves are starting to yellow; not sure why.

Hmmmm, IDK. All mine still look insanely good. Humidity is still at 100% and there is no mold almost two weeks into the baggie experiment.

Got my seedlings today! I repotted them in some fresh sphagnum moss and put them in my makeshift humidity dome. My 10 gallon seedling tank is full, so I grabbed the container for a store bought cake. It has plastic plate at the bottom and the top is a clear plastic dome, it's perfect for my uses! So i put the three compots I ended up with in that dome.

Pictures Bob?

It's great everyone's seedlings seem to be doing well! Mine are still good. I even forgot and left the top off while I went out most of the day. Whoops. Luckily my kitchen runs at 60+ humidity!

I'm getting to the point where I'm going to have to get the Den cyanocentrums out, and work out how I'm going to deal with having two lots at different stages of hardening... Thoughts anyone? I suppose I could just take the phals out and put them on top of the propogator when I want them to get their exposed time...
