Are we still only going with small - mini in size, intermediate grower, and species only? Since I have a couple of weeks on my hand with nothing to do but read & watch TV I thought I'd start to put a list together.

Hey all...newer to the board and interested in the up-coming project... just curious as to why the above came to be? That being said...anyone interested in a project that is outside of the posted parameters... I'm thinking along the lines of either something very specific ie: Australian Terrestrials, Mounted Phals, etc... or something very broad ie: Cattleya intergenerics, etc.

I like the idea of setting some parameters, but why not change the dynamics a bit, especially if the previous projects have all fallen within the "set" criteria; same cultural aspects but different plants?
Just my two cents...i'll look forward to 08 March

The reason the last few projects have involved small growing plants is that most folks here grow in limited spaces, terrariums, windowsills, etc. While there are some that have greenhouses, they are a small percentage (I think) of the total community. Your idea is a good one however and should not be lost.

The reason we have limited it to species plants is they are easier for everyone to get internationally. Some of the specific named, awarded hybids aren't available in every country.
