I can relate to the long long long winter months. I'm tellin ya, if it weren't for my orchids.......
I'm so supportive, I watched my husband snowblow the driveway, took a picture, (brrrr) then came inside and made a hot toddy and sat admiring my phals. And notice the drift of snow on the porch outside, as a breathe of spring blossoms on the inside.

I LOVE snow! It's so wonderful to be outside admiring the snowy world... Winter at my country house is the best What I miss is the mega blizzards we had when we lived in northern Virginia. I will never forget the blizzard of '96! But then it's nice to go inside to drink hot wine and admire my flowering phal and look forward to buying her some buddies in the spring. The problem with such cold winters is that when the heater is on, the humidity is so so low.
Sorry to be off topic!

Oh how I miss snow....the weather has been unusually warm here...I just finally cut back my roses this past weekend and pulled all of my veggies. It usually rains more now then snow, we used to get a decent amount of snow...but not anymore, it seems to always pass the valley up....it is so sad....snow is beautiful!

Amen to that Ross! I would like to add, or drive in it! I hate to drive on icy snowy roads. I must say I do love winter, especially up until Christmas. But in March when it's still going strong I am really cursing the weather up here!
Camille, your picture is absolutely breathtaking!

Sarah, that's why March is the perfect time to be in Cancun, or somewhere like that. By March I am sooooo sick of winter I definitely need an attitude adjustment! Last winter I went to Grand Cayman. It was great laying on the beach in February! Oh, and the Mudslides weren't too shabby either!

Grand Cayman sounds heavenly after drudging through the snow for months! Now tell me....how did you pack your orchids for the trip? Hope you remembered to use SPF 15 for all their little lips? Orchids under tiki huts on the beach. Now that's a vacation!

Susanne - Saw your post about this project on the welcome side of the forum! What a fantastic idea! I would definitely be interested, although we have some difficulty in getting plants into Canada. I'm going to keep checking back! What a great excuse to get more chids!

Hi Calvin
We've had our Canadia friends involved in all the previous projects. They usually order from Paramount or Cloud's but with this coming project, you can get the chid where ever you'd like
I look forward to having you join us in March
