I'm in. I like the idea of being able to use a vendor of choice. Oak Hill would have been cheaper than Parkside on the last one and Greg thought he had enough. The only advantage was I was able to go to Parkside and pick mine out. (Update - The aerangis has four new roots but no spike yet.)

Terri, I loved the elegans too! Great minds...

We haven't done a Den yet...I'd love to but some folks don't do well with them for some reason

How's the hand?

Hand is doing great, thanks for asking Sue. Have had zero pain which I find amazing!

As for dendros, aren't we supposed to be challenging ourselves a little? Maybe they wouldn't be so mysterious if we all grew them together.

I didn't think you could kill a Dendrobium, they even seem to be stronger than my Cattleyas.

My Dens are (happily) the 'chids I pay the least attention to! I find them the easiest to grow yet some folks have a hard time with them.

When the project starts in March, we're going to have FIVE genus that can't be used due to their winning the poll in our prior projects...sooner or later, a Den has got to be the one!

I think a den as a project plant would be cool! I just have one and would love to add another at some point. When I was looking at Andy's site while ordering our recent project orchid I saw some cool mini's. And some even like shady conditions! I think something like that would be fun to try.

I used to be more down on dendros than lately. I found that there are a few I can grow (if they are minis like D. aberrans or D. senile or deciduous like D. anosmum.) Phalenopsis type are just too finicky for my tastes. They usually just up-and-die for me
